Kirtlington - Stoke House Annexe

Welcome to Stoke Annexe - the idilic peaceful retreat in the beautiful Village of Kirtlington.  Ideally located for Kirtlington Park, Oxford, Woodstock, The Cotswolds and Bicester Village.

This charming self contained annex is perfect for couples looking to get away from the city and take in the beautiful village and surrounding countryside. The annexe has a 1-bedroom (sleeps 2) with parking available and breakfast provided. Perfect location for guests attending weddings at Kirtlington Park.

The Space

Driving through the village of Kirtlington you will find Stoke House Annexe positioned just off the village green. You are greeted by the beautiful landscaped garden as you enter the driveway to the property. Guests can use the driveway way to park during their stay (one car)
Guests have use of the whole of the annexe. Upon entering you will find the open plan kitchen, dining and living room on the ground floor. The warm sunshine filters through in the afternoon and it is the perfect spot to chill out and read a book, use the time to turn off and have some 'you' time. 
Leading up the stairs you will find the bedroom with a king size bed, a small sofa, TV and an ensuite bathroom (bath tub). There is ample hanging and storage space for guests use.
Outside guests have a table and chairs so they can sit out and enjoy the garden, it is the perfect spot to have a glass of bubbles and take in the peaceful surroundings. It is great in the summer season when we have warmer nights as guests have the option to dine outside when the days are longer.
The host provides a nice breakfast for 1 or 2 night bookings for guests to help themselves. Longer bookings will have the necessitates to get them started. There is a village shop close by where you can pick up essentials and there is also a supermarket 10 minutes drive from the house for a larger shop/items. 

The Annexe is ideal for a couple or a single adult. It isn't child friendly due to the size and an open staircase but could accommodate a small baby - if you have your own travel cot. 

By staying at Stoke Annexe you are the gateway to some of the most beautiful areas of the UK. You are close to the historic University City of Oxford, the delightful countryside of the Cotswolds, the renowned village of Woodstock home to Blenheim Palace and a stones throw from some famous villages (Burford, Bourton on the Water, Broadway - and many more). Kirtlington is easily accessible from many directions and it is well signposted from the M40 and A34. Oxford (20 min) , Woodstock (10 min) and Bicester Village (15 min).

The Neighbourhood

Kirtlington is a quintessential English village in the heart of Oxfordshire . The house is set in a  great position on the South Green in with the best view in the village. 
Just a stones throw from the house is Kirtlington Park, a breath-taking Palladian mansion set in glorious parkland and Capability Brown landscaped gardens. Fantastic for a brisk morning or afternoon walk. We are perfectly located for guests who may be attending weddings at the Manor House. 
The village is also very close to both the Kirtlington Polo Club & the Kirtlington Golf Club, again the annexe is a great location for anyone visiting the clubs or part taking in any events. 
The village has the necessities of a pub & village shop/postoffice. 

Quiet but accessible to pubs, shop, buses etc. If you enjoy walking, the South Green leads on to Kirtlington Park which offers Public Right of Way through park and farm land.

Getting Around

I would recommend coming by car, there is parking for guests at the property. There is a local bus service to Oxford & Bicester which runs by the hour. There are also good local taxi services for which I can provide the number. 10 Minutes drive from the house there is a park and ride service into Oxford. Also Oxford Parkway train station is a 10 minute drive from the house and there are direct trains to both Bicester Village and London Marylebone which is just a 1hr journey time.
