The two- bedroom duplex luxury apartment is in the centre of the village making it the perfect location for those visiting Blenheim Palace, The Cotswolds, Oxford Airport, Weddings, Salon Privé, Soho Farmhouse and the city of Oxford.
The grounds of Blenheim Place are on your door step as well as a wealth of restaurants, cafes and shops.
The Space
Situated in the heart of Woodstock, the luxury apartment is a beautiful Georgian terraced property dating from the early 1800s.
The apartment retains a wealth of period features, character and charm, but at the same time has recently undergone an incredible renovation
bringing the property up to the very highest modern specification.
Attention to detail is second to none. The living area is flooded with light from
the large sash windows overlooking the market place below. The flooring
is hand antiqued French limestone tiles with under floor heating.
The kitchen has built in Miele appliances (microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, gas hob) and larder unit, and the work surfaces and splashback are made from Italian Calacatta honed marble.
A laundry area has been incorporated to the upper landing space with marble work surface, there is a washing machine and condensing drier.
The principal bedroom (king size) on the top floor enjoys views over the rooftops of Woodstock to open countryside beyond and has built in oak wardrobe and bespoke handmade oak bed with drawers. The ensuite bathroom with marble surfaces has a wet room including underfloor heating and Italian Calacatta marblebath.
The second bedroom (double size) has oak floor and handmade oak bedframe and built in wardrobes. The second bedroom has an en-suite shower and separate cloakroom on the landing.
Things to Note
The apartment is on the second and third floor of the building. When entering the building there are stairs that lead to the apartment door.
The apartment is multilevel/duplex, there are stairs between the different levels within the apartment.
There is no lift in the building.
The apartment is not suitable for children of any age.
The master bedroom on the top floor is within the eaves of the building and therefore there is restricted head height due to the sloping ceiling.
The apartment is in the heart of the village. There is the chance at certain times that noise could be heard, for example in September there is a drive by of a selection Cars from Salon Privé with a live music abs drinks to follow.
There could also be other community events taking place in the town hall square opposite, for example Morris dancing and farmers markets.
The Neighbourhood
Woodstock is home to Blenheim Palace, an UNESCO World Heritage site, is just 5 minutes walk from your front door. Every year there are a wealth of events taking place including, Salon Privé, International Horse Trials, Nocturne Live, Blenheim Place Triathlon, Battle of the Proms Concert, Giffords Circus, Food Festivals, Christmas Fair & Illuminated Light trail and much more. The apartment is the perfect base for those working and attending the events.
London Oxford Airport is just a 10 minute drive from the apartment. For those taking courses, working or travelling to and from the airport will find the apartment the perfect base whilst being close to amenities, eateries and fantastic bus routes.
The Cotswolds is also on our doorstep. Take a tour out to the beautiful towns and villages, including Burford, Stow on the Wold, Chipping Camden, Broadway and many more.
Getting Around
There are both free and paid for parking options in the village depending on the time of day. Union Street Car Park (5 minute walk) is free to park and other areas around the village are time controlled with a maximum stay of 4 hours between 8am - 6pm / 7 days a week. Outside of these times they are free to park ie. overnight.
There is a fantastic bus service running between Woodstock, the London Oxford (Kidlington) Airport, and Oxford City. The bus stops is on the main road by the Woodstock Coffee Shop, grab a coffee and keep an eye on the live bus times whilst you wait.
