Perfectly suited to families or groups of friends, the house offers a comfortable and characterful base just a 15-minute walk from Oxford city centre, with an excellent selection of bars, restaurants, and local amenities right on the doorstep.
This welcoming home is ideal for hosting friends or family, whether visiting Oxford for work or leisure. Located in what many consider to be Oxford’s hidden gem, Jericho is full of energy and charm, with an independent and creative spirit. An eclectic mix of cafés, bars, shops, and music venues are all within easy walking distance. One local favourite is The Rickety Press, well known for its relaxed atmosphere and excellent burgers, brunch, and craft beers.
On the ground floor, the house features a spacious open-plan living and kitchen area designed for socialising and relaxing together. The generous dining table provides the perfect setting for shared meals, while doors open directly onto a private rear patio. During the warmer months, this outdoor space becomes a wonderful extension of the home, complete with additional dining furniture and comfortable seating. In the evenings, the patio lights create a warm and inviting atmosphere — ideal for unwinding with friends and family over a glass of wine.
Also on the ground floor is a bedroom with a double-size bed, which includes a sink within the room and access to a separate WC.
Upstairs, there are two further bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king-size bed and a charming roll-top bath. The third bedroom has a double-size bed overlooking the patio. The family bathroom is also located on this floor and includes both a separate shower and bath.
Things to Note:
The staircase leading to the upper floor is narrow and relatively steep, which may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility or those unsteady on their feet.

Oxford is a compact and easily walkable city, allowing you to reach most destinations on foot. The central bus station is located on George Street, with a wide range of services operating throughout Oxford, the surrounding areas, London, and major southern airports. Local bus stops are conveniently located across the city, making travel simple and accessible.
Oxford’s main railway station, situated on Park End Street, provides direct and frequent services to London and other major cities. Alternatively, Oxford Parkway station offers convenient connections between Oxford, Bicester Village, and London Marylebone.
For local travel, we recommend using the Royal Cars taxi app for reliable service. Should guests wish to bring or hire a bicycle during their stay, secure bike racks are available at the apartment.

Jericho is a historic and characterful suburb of Oxford, bordered by the Oxford Canal, Worcester College, Walton Street, and Walton Well Road. Known for its independent spirit, the neighbourhood is home to a thriving collection of boutique retailers, artisan cafés, lively bars, and eclectic restaurants. With its vintage charm and slightly offbeat edge, Jericho has frequently been recognised as one of the country’s “hippest” places to live and visit.
The area has strong cultural roots and has even featured on screen — Combe Road appeared in the very first episode of Inspector Morse, along with the exterior of the well-known Bookbinders pub. The Jericho Tavern, another local institution, is renowned for its live music and vibrant atmosphere, offering plenty of heart and personality.
For those with a sweet tooth, Barefoot Café is a must-visit, serving delicious homemade cakes, brownies, and an excellent selection of teas. Gail’s Bakery is also close by, offering a tempting range of sweet and savoury options.
Conveniently located, Jericho is just a 10-minute walk from Oxford city centre and approximately 20 minutes on foot from Summertown, where you’ll find additional cafés, wine bars, restaurants, and local supermarkets.
